TRX EMOM for Women Over 40

This workout is AMAZING!

It will get your heart rate up, train your thighs, glutes, hips, shoulders, back muscles, arms AND your abs.

Using the training principle EMOM (every minute on the minute), we rotate through 4 different high-energy moves, five times through. For each exercise, once we’ve done the 10 reps, we rest until the next minute starts – performing all four moves like this, five times though 👊🏼.

While this workout is best for intermediate & advanced TRXer’s, I do show modifications for some of the more intense moves (yes, I’m talking about Mr. Burpee), as well mountain climbers out of the TRX if that’s not your bag. So, give it a spin, and then let me know what you thought 😘

And remember, the only bad workout is the one that didn’t happen.

Join me for a 35-minute, all levels TRX HIIT workout. For the entire workout we will alternate between one strength and one TRX cardio move, for 3 rounds of 30 seconds. 

High & low impact variations are shown.

If you know me then you know that I am in love with… my husband, my dog and my TRX.

In that order too.

Or at least until I can teach the TRX how to vacuum 🙂  Hehe, just joking.

However, that would be super cool if my TRX could vacuum. Just saying if the makers of TRX are reading.

Anyways, the reason I love the TRX so much is that it makes your body do all the stabilizing. This, in turn, makes more muscles work.

And more muscles working makes me VERY happy.

TRX’s motto is “Make your body the machine”, and that’s just what this workout does.

For 50-minutes we power through 15 exercises, for three rounds.

It is sweaty, awesome fun!

I presented this workout to my class back in January and they loved it! It hits all the target points you want to be firm and toned. The:

  • Glutes
  • Hips
  • Hamstings
  • Quads
  • Abs
  • Obliques
  • Deep core muscles

Now, a heads up though.

You must be comfortable with one foot in the TRX for this workout. If you are not, you can perform all the lunges and single leg squats without the TRX. Okay? Okay!
