MY STORY
Iโve been a certified personal trainer since 1994 and during that time I have spent the better part of my career helping women over the age of 40 get fit and fierce.
I love squats, lunges, a good burger, and a gin & tonic on ice with a squeeze of lime (the lime is a MUST).
The only three things I love more than fitness are my loving husband (I call him LH), and my fur babies Bella, George and Max.

Online fitness instructors who put on music & do their own workout without cueing proper form
Fad diets and the word ‘can’t’
MY APPROACH
My approach is simple. Give you a workout, with options for where ever you are in your fitness journey, in a fun and inspiring way.
Iย DON’T BELIEVE IN FADS AND I DON’T DO QUICK FIXES.
Neither work. I prefer my that community see lasting results, rather than quick results with a highย degree of drop off.
The exercises, programs and tools I use (and recommend) are based on years of research, my own personal use, and what has worked for the thousands of women I have trained through the decades.

Moderation is the key to happiness & health
Obsessing over calories is not fun. Exercising to burn off calories because you ate poorly is not enjoyable. I preachย moderation, not fads or extremes.
Exercise should not hurt, it should make you feel good
There are so many different exercises that thereโs no reason why you should be forced to do one if itโs hurting you.
We don't need to change our diets, we need to change our mindset
This not about having the perfect body. Itโs about loving the one that you are in RIGHT now. Itโs about an attitude shift to appreciate what we have.
MY CREDENTIALS
With more than 30 years of dedicated experience working with women over 40, I am one of Canada’s most trusted and decorated fitness professionals.
A BCRPA-certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor since 1994, I hold advanced certification in Fitness Training for the Older Adult through the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association โ one of Canada’s most rigorous fitness designations.
I am also BoneFitโข certified through Osteoporosis Canada, reflecting my deep commitment to bone health and fall prevention.
As a published writer specializing in women’s health, I translate complex exercise science into practical, accessible guidance for the women I serve.
I am the creator and lead trainer of Over Fifty Fitness and the host of the Fitness with PJ YouTube channel โ two platforms built on a single conviction: that strength, vitality, and confidence have no expiration date.
