Well, it’s happened.

I have officially run out of names to call my workouts.

Apparently there are only so many different combinations of Cardio & Strength Workout.

So, I will now be naming my workouts sexy names like:

  • Cardio & Strength #4
  • Abs #22
  • HIIT #9

I know, super imaginative!

Circus School

I took our instructors to circus school for our Christmas party – and let me tell you jumping on the trampoline is a lot more scarier at 47 than it was at 7.

However, I think we are all ready for Cirque de Soleil now, if the super-duper remedial version call. 🙂

While writing this blog I had my two trusty companions right beside me.

Bella and my afternoon kombucha.

Poor Bella hasn’t been feeling good this week though. She’s hasn’t been able to keep her food down.

Which is not like her.

She has thrown up pretty much everywhere. Living room, dining room, bedroom and my slipper (true story).

She’s even christened the new Studio.

This morning, while teaching my early morning class, she walked into the middle of the gym during our warm-up, threw up and then walked out.

Alrighty then. Now there’s a GREAT way to start a class.

Thankfully my crew have a fab sense of humour and it was all giggles and laughs.

However, poor Bell’s is not feeling her normal self.

Here’s hoping that a couple of days of special food from the vet will have her back to her old non-throwing-up self.

The deets:

Tools needed: A pair of heavy and light dumbbells

Workout best for: home or gym

Level: beginner – advanced

A YouTube subscriber requested a non-dancey, high-energy workout using the STEP and I thought, “What a great idea!”.

I am the perfect trainer to program this kind of online workout.

Why you are wondering?

Well…. I have absolutely no coordination and could not do a dance-type workout if my life depended on it and they were giving away free Nikes, chocolate chip cookies and Star Wars’ DVDs afterwards.

Just won’t happen cause it just can’t happen.

So, if you have a STEP, or a BOSU ball, you have to check out this workout! It is awesome. Trainer’s promise.

You will:

  • Burn between 300-500 calories (depending on your body weight)
  • Train your heart and lungs
  • Work on your core strength
  • Improve your low back strength
  • Increase your leg and glute strength
  • And, have a lot of fun
