It was National Puppy Day last week, and I found myself on Instagram off and on all day checking out people’s pups.

It’s not a secret that I like dogs more than most people. Some people are a lot of work, whereas all dogs are not.

How do you know if you like dogs more than humans too?

  1. Do you hate it when other people walk slowly in front of you, but you’ll let your dog stop and sniff any random piece of earth that they want?
  2. You’d cuddle your dog any day, but you step back involuntary when people enter in your personal space.
  3. When you meet a baby, do you smile and say “aww”, but when you meet a puppy you squeal, pet it and spew out unintelligible words of affection?
  4. If a new acquaintance, or first date, doesn’t like dogs you become highly suspicious of them.
  5. You are losing Instagram followers because all your posts are pics of your dog sleeping.
  6. You need a calendar reminder of your friend’s and family’s birthdays, but you have no problem remembering your pooch’s.

40-Minute Upper Body Workout for Women

This upper body workout for women is programmed ladder-style.

What that means is we perform exercise #1, and then perform again this time adding exercise #2. Once completed #1 & #2 we go back to #1, #2 and add on #3, and so forth.

Adding one exercise every time we ladder up.

It’s a fun way to train, and pretty much guarantees that you won’t be able to use your arms much for the rest of the day.

But hey, look on the bright side. Your arm muscles will look smoking hot in a tank top 🙂

Loving husband drives us everywhere. I never drive if he’s with me.

And it’s not because he insists, it’s because I insist.

I hate driving.

It’s boring, I get all cramped up, my low back starts to hurt, my mind starts to wander, I get frustrated with other drivers.

But, when he drives I don’t mind being in the car at all.

I play with the stereo, I keep him entertained, I people watch, catch up on my emails and schedule my social media.

It’s a very productive time for me.

Now, with that said, the other part of driving I despise is getting gas.

Ugh. Call me lazy. Call me a princess. Call me spoiled. Just don’t call me to put gas in your car.

So, to avoid getting gas I strategically use up all the gas in my car until Loving Husband needs it.

I know every Tuesday night he needs my car to get to volleyball. Giving me a full week to use up all the gas so when he gets in the car the gas light is on and he has to get gas.

I have been doing this for months! And it works – every week!

Let me tell you, it’s not easy either.

I have to plan just the right amount of automobile activity that will get that stupid light to go on by Tuesday.

It takes planning and a bit of luck.

But, I am pretty damn proud of myself so far.

New Youtube Welcome Video

A couple of weeks ago I hired my favourite videographer, Patrick, to help me with a new YouTube welcome vid.

I wanted something more professionally shoot, and more fun.

So, I came up with the concept of poking a little fun at the fitness industry.

There I was, on a cold Sunday afternoon, dressed in questionable attire on the main street in our little town of Ladner.

It took about 8 takes to get the opening, with a few cars stopping to watch the action, one to tell me to get some clothes on, cause it’s cold out (thanks Mario, duly noted), and a few gathered around on the sidewalk hoping to catch a glimpse of a star.

HAHAHA, joke was on them, wasn’t it?

So, I tried some new lighting on this workout.

And… I’m not a fan.

It was suggested that I try the lighting so I don’t have fluorescents beaming down on me.

Cause even Victoria Secret models can’t pull off fluorescent lighting! So, really how the hell can I???

In an ideal world I would only film outside, on an overcast day 🙂 

It’s funny, how the older I get the more important lighting becomes.

It’s either not bright enough and I can’t read (yes, I am talking to you Mr & Mrs Restaurant Owner), or the lighting is horrible making me look old. And I’m not being vain, cause nobody likes to look old. Seasoned maybe, but not old.
